Dosage Amount, Indications & Limitations |
558.555 Semduramicin. Specifications: Type A medicated article containing 22.7 grams per pound (50 grams per kilogram) semduramicin sodium. Conditions of use: Chickens (broilers) Amount: Semduramicin 22.7 grams with bacitracin methylene disalicylate 10 to 50 grams and roxarsone 45.4 grams per ton. Indications: For the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. mivati/E. mitis, E. necatrix, and E. tenella, including some field strains of E. tenella that are more susceptible to semduramicin combined with roxarsone than semduramicin alone, and for improved feed efficiency. Limitations: Feed continuously as sole ration. Use feed within 2 weeks of production. Withdraw 5 days before slaughter. Do not feed to laying hens. Use as sole source of organic arsenic. Poultry should have access to drinking water at all times. Drug overdosage or lack of water intake may result in leg weakness or paralysis. |

Tolerances for total residues of combined arsenic (calculated as Arsenic) in food are established as follows: a. Chickens and turkeys (edible tissues): (1) 0.5 part per million in uncooked muscle tissue. (2) 2 parts per million in uncooked edible by-products. b. Chicken and turkey eggs: 0.5 part per million c. Swine (edible tissues): (1) 2 parts per million in uncooked liver and kidney. (2) 0.5 part per million in uncooked muscle tissue and by-products other than liver and kidney. The tolerance for residues of bacitracin from zinc bacitracin or bacitracin methylene disalicylate in uncooked edible tissues of cattle, swine, chickens, turkeys, pheasants, and quail, and in milk and eggs is 0.5 part per million Tolerances are established for residues for parent semduramicin in uncooked edible tissues of 400 parts per billion (ppb) in liver and 130 ppb in muscle of broiler chickens. |
