558.550 Salinomycin. Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 30 grams of activity from salinomycin sodium biomass. Conditions of use: Chickens (broilers) Amount: Salinomycin 40 to 60 grams per ton of feed and bacitracin zinc 10 to 50 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina E. maxima, E. brunetti, and E. mivati, and for increased rate of weight gain. Limitations: Feed continuously as sole ration. Not approved for use with pellet binders. Do not feed to layers. May be fatal if accidentally fed to adult turkeys or horses. |
