Specifications: Type A medicated articles containing pyrantel tartrate 9.6 and 19.2 grams per pound

Conditions of use:

Swine

Amount: 96 grams (0.0106 percent) grams per ton of feed.

Indications: Aid in the prevention of migration and establishment of large roundworm (Ascaris suum) infections; aid in the prevention of establishment of nodular worm (Oesophagostomum) infections.

Limitations: Feed continuously as the sole ration in a Type C feed. Withdraw 24 hours prior to slaughter. Consult veterinarian before using in severely debilitated animals. Do not mix in Type B or Type C medicated feeds containing bentonite.

Amount: 96 grams (0.0106 percent) grams per ton of feed.

Indications: For the removal and control of large roundworm (Ascaris suum) infections.

Limitations: Feed for 3 days as the sole ration in a Type C feed. Withdraw 24 hours prior to slaughter. Consult veterinarian before using in severely debilitated animals. Do not mix in Type B or Type C medicated feeds containing bentonite.

Amount: 800 grams (0.0881 percent) per ton of feed.

Indications: For the removal and control of large roundworm (Ascaris suum) and nodular worm (Oesophagostomum) infections.

Limitations: As sole ration for a single therapeutic treatment in Type C feed. Feed at the rate of 1 pound of feed per 40 pounds of body weight for animals up to 200 pounds, and 5 pounds of feed per head for animals 200 pounds or over. Withdraw 24 hours prior to slaughter. Consult veterinarian before using in severely debilitated animals. Do not mix in Type B or Type C medicated feeds containing bentonite.

Tolerances

Tolerances are established for residues of pyrantel tartrate in edible tissues of swine as follows:

a. 10 parts per million in liver and kidney. b. 1 part per million in muscle.
