558.248 Erythromycin thiocyanate. Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 2.2, 5, and 10 percent. The levels of antibiotic are expressed in terms of erythromycin master standard. One gram of erythromycin thiocyanate is equivalent to 0.925 gram of erythromycin master standard. Conditions of use: Swine (starter) Amount: 9.25 to 64.75 grams per ton of feed. Indications: Increase in weight gain, improved feed efficiency. Limitations: Starter ration for animals up to 35 pounds body weight. Swine (grower and finisher) Amount: 9.25 grams per ton of feed.
