558.248 Erythromycin thiocyanate. Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 2.2, 5, and 10 percent. The levels of antibiotic are expressed in terms of erythromycin master standard. One gram of erythromycin thiocyanate is equivalent to 0.925 gram of erythromycin master standard. Conditions of use: Chickens Amount: 4.6 to 18.5 grams Erythromycin thiocyanate per ton feed. Indications: Growth promotion and feed efficiency. Limitations: No limitations are included in the CFR for this species when using this product in this amount. Amount: 92.5 grams Erythromycin thiocyanate per ton of feed. Indications: As an aid in the prevention of chronic respiratory disease during periods of stress. Limitations: Feed for 2 days before stress and 3 to 6 days after stress. Withdraw 24 hours before slaughter. Amount: 92.5 grams Erythromycin thiocyanate per ton of feed.
