558.274 Hygromycin B. Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 2.4 and 8 grams per pound. Conditions of use: Chickens Amount: 8-12 grams per ton of Hygromycin B in combination with 4-50 grams per ton of Tylosin. Indications: Control of infestations of large roundworms (Ascaris galli) cecal worms (Heterakis gallinae,), and capillary worms (Capillaria obsignata); growth promotion and feed efficiency. Limitations: As tylosin phosphate. |

Tolerances are established for residues of tylosin in edible products of animals as follows: a. Chickens and turkeys: 0.2 part per million (negligible residue) in uncooked fat, muscle, liver, and kidney. b. Cattle: 0.2 part per million (negligible residue) in uncooked fat, muscle, liver, and kidney. c. Swine: 0.2 part per million (negligible residue) in uncooked fat, muscle, liver, and kidney. d. Milk: 0.05 part per million (negligible residue). e. Eggs: 0.2 part per million (negligible residue). A tolerance of zero is established for residues of hygromycin B in or on eggs and the uncooked edible tissues of swine and poultry. |
