558.325 Lincomycin. Specifications: Type A articles and Type B feeds 4 and 20 grams per pound. Conditions of use: Chickens (broilers) Amount: 2 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For increase in rate of weight gain and improved feed efficiency. Limitations: As lincomycin hydrochloride monohydrate. Amount: 2 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For control of necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium species or other susceptible organisms. Limitations: As lincomycin hydrochloride monohydrate. 558.680 Zoalene. Specifications: Type A medicated article containing 25 percent zoalene. Conditions of use: Chickens (broilers) Amount: 113.5 (0.0125 percent) grams Zoalene per ton of feed. Indications: Increase in rate of weight gain; improved feed efficiency; as an aid in the prevention and control of coccidiosis. Limitations: Do not feed to laying chickens. To be fed as sole ration. A tolerance for residues of lincomycin in chickens is not required. Tolerances for lincomycin in swine of 0.6 part per million in liver and 0.1 part per million in muscle are established. Tolerances are established for residues of zoalene (3,5-dinitro-o- toluamide) and its metabolite 3-amino-5-nitro-o-toluamide in food as follows: a. Chickens (edible tissues): (1) 6 parts per million in uncooked liver and kidney. (2) 3 parts per million in uncooked muscle tissue. (3) 2 parts per million in uncooked fat. b. Turkeys (edible tissues): 3 parts per million in uncooked muscle tissue and liver. |
