522.1260 Lincomycin injection.

Specifications: Each milliliter of sterile aqueous solution contains lincomycin hydrochloride equivalent to 25, 100, or 300 milligrams of lincomycin.

Conditions of use: It is used for animals as follows:

Swine

Amount: 5 milligrams per pound of body weight per day. Administer intramuscularly as a single daily dose for 3 to 7 days.

Indications: Treatment of infectious arthritis and mycoplasma pneumonia.

Limitations: As lincomycin hydrochloride monohydrate. Do not treat within 48 hours of slaughter.

Tolerances

A tolerance for residues of lincomycin in chickens is not required.

Tolerances for lincomycin in swine of 0.6 part per million in liver and 0.1 part per million in muscle are established.
