558.35 Aklomide. Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 50 percent aklomide and 10 percent roxarsone. Conditions of use: Chickens Amount: 227 grams (0.025 percent) Aklomide per ton of feed, combined with sulfanitran, 181.6 grams (0.02 percent) per ton of feed and roxarsone 22.7-45.4 grams (0.0025-0.005 percent) per ton of feed. Indications: As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis caused by E. tenella, E. necatrix, and E. acervulina; growth promotion and feed efficiency; improving pigmentation. Limitations: Not to be fed to laying chickens. Feed s sole source of organic arsenic. Chickens should have access to drinking water at all times. |

Tolerances are established for combined residues of aklomide (2-chloro-4-nitrobenzamide) and its metabolite (4-amino-2-chlorobenzamide) in uncooked edible tissues of chickens as follows: a. 4.5 parts per million in liver and muscle. b. 3 parts per million in skin with fat. Tolerances for total residues of combined arsenic (calculated as Arsenic) in food are established as follows: a. Chickens and turkeys (edible tissues): (1) 0.5 part per million in uncooked muscle tissue. (2) 2 parts per million in uncooked edible by-products. b. Chicken and turkey eggs: 0.5 part per million c. Swine (edible tissues): (1) 2 parts per million in uncooked liver and kidney. (2) 0.5 part per million in uncooked muscle tissue and by-products other than liver and kidney. A tolerance of zero is established for residues of sulfanitran (acetyl (p-nitro-phenyl) sulfanilamide) and its metabolites in the uncooked edible tissues of chickens. |
