558.295 Iodinated casein. Specifications: No specifications are included in the CFR for this product. Conditions of use: Ducks Amount: 100 to 200 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For increased rate of weight gain and improved feathering in growing ducks. Limitations: No limitations are included in the CFR for this species when using this product in this amount. Cattle (dairy cows) Amount: 1/2 to 1 1/2 grams per ton of feed per 100 pounds of body weight. Indications: For increased milk production in dairy cows. Limitations: This drug is effective for a limited period of time, and the effectiveness is limited to the declining plane of lactation. Administration must be accompanied with increased feed intake; administration may increase heat sensitivity of the animal. NAS/NRC status: The use of this drug is NAS/NRC reviewed and found effective. Applications for these uses need not include efficacy data as required by 514.111 of this chapter but may require bioequivalency or safety data. |
