Dosage Amount, Indications & Limitations |
558.325 Lincomycin. Specifications: Type A articles and Type B feeds: 50 grams per pound. Conditions of use: Swine Amount: 40 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For control of swine dysentery. Limitations: Feed as sole ration. For use in swine on premises with a history of swine dysentery but where symptoms have not yet occurred. Not to be fed to swine that weigh more than 250 pounds. Amount: Feed 100 grams per ton of feed for 3 weeks or until signs of disease disappear, followed by 40 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For treatment and control of swine dysentery. Limitations: Feed as sole ration. Not to be fed to swine that weigh more than 250 pounds. Feed containing 100 grams per ton lincomycin hydrochloride should be withdrawn 6 days before slaughter. Amount: 100 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For treatment of swine dysentery. Limitations: Feed as sole ration for 3 weeks or until signs of disease disappear. Not to be fed to swine that weigh more than 250 pounds. Amount: 200 grams per ton of feed. Indications: For reduction in the severity of swine mycoplasmal pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. Limitations: Feed as sole ration for 21 days. Not to be fed to swine that weigh more than 250 pounds. Withdraw 6 days before slaughter. |

A tolerance for residues of lincomycin in chickens is not required. Tolerances for lincomycin in swine of 0.6 part per million in liver and 0.1 part per million in muscle are established. |
