558.550 Salinomycin. Specifications: Type A medicated article. Conditions of use: Chickens (broilers) Amount: Salinomycin 40 to 60 grams and virginiamycin 5 grams. Indications: For the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria tenella E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. maxima, E. brunetti, and E. mivati, and for increased rate or weight gain and improved feed efficiency. Limitations: Feed continuously as sole ration. Not approved for use with pellet binders. Do not feed to layers or to chickens over 16 weeks of age. May be fatal if accidentally fed to adult turkeys or horses. Amount: Salinomycin 40 to 60 grams and virginiamycin 5 to 15 grams.
