520.600 Dichlorvos. Specifications: No specifications are included in the CFR for this product. Conditions of use: Cats and kittens Amount: The drug is in tablet form and is administered orally at a dosage level of 5 milligram of the active ingredient per pound of body weight. Indications: It is indicated for the removal and control of roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina) and hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Uncinaria stenocephala) occurring in the intestinal tracts of cats. Limitations: Do not administer to cats showing signs of constipation mechanical blockage of the intestinal tract, impaired liver function, or to animals recently exposed to or showing sings of infectious disease. The drug is a cholinesterase inhibitor and should not be used simultaneously or within a few days before or after treatment with or exposure to cholinesterase-inhibiting drugs, pesticides, or chemicals. Do not use in animals under 10 days of age or under 1 pound of body weight. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
