Specifications: Type A medicated articles: 1.1 percent activity (5 grams per pound); 2.2 percent activity (10 grams per pound). Dilute Type A article with at least 10 pounds of a feed ingredient prior to final mixing in 1 ton of Type C feed.

Conditions of use:

Swine (under 120 pounds)

Amount: 10 grams per ton of feed from weaning up to 120 pounds.

Indications: For increased rate of weight gain and improved feed efficiency.

Limitations: For continuous use from weaning to market weight.

Swine (over 120 pounds)

Amount: 5 to 10 grams per ton of feed to market weight.

Indications: For increased rate of weight gain.

Limitations: For continuous use from weaning to market weight. Not for use in breeding swine over 120 pounds.

Tolerances are established for residues of virginiamycin in uncooked edible tissues at 0.4 part per million (ppm) in kidney, skin, and fat, 0.3 ppm in liver, and 0.1 ppm in muscle in swine.
